Renew’d Brand Identity
Renew’d is a nonprofit organization that provides free, gently used clothing, shoes, household items, books, pantry items, and community resource information to people in Baltimore and surrounding areas. The goal of this project was to create a brand identity that felt warm, hopeful, supportive, and professional while still reflecting the personality and mission of the organization.
This project was completed as part of a design team over 12 weeks. My role included creating the logo, icons, patterns, mockup designs, and an organized InDesign template for the process and style guide. The final identity uses heart-inspired shapes, abstract figures, and a clover-like symbol to represent love, hope, purpose, unity, and care.

The Problem
Renew’d needed a stronger visual identity that could reflect both the seriousness of clothing insecurity and the warmth of the organization’s mission. The brand needed to feel trustworthy and professional, but not cold or corporate.
The challenge was to create a visual system that honored the founder’s story, supported the nonprofit’s growth, and made the organization feel welcoming to the people it serves.
My Role
I worked as a Brand Identity Designer on this project. My role focused on creating the visual identity for Renew’d, including the logo, icons, brand patterns, mockups, and style guide layout.
I helped translate the nonprofit’s mission into a warm and supportive brand system that felt professional, welcoming, and community-centered.
Design Process
The process included:
Learning about Renew’d mission, audience, and community impact
Reviewing the organization’s original identity and brand needs
Exploring visual ideas around love, hope, purpose, care, and community
Sketching early logo concepts and symbol directions
Designing a final logo system with hearts, abstract figures, and a clover-inspired center
Creating supporting icons and brand patterns
Applying the identity to mockups and branded materials
Building a clean InDesign style guide to document the final brand system
